I was designing a web banner with red, green, and gray. I thought Photoshop was doing something weird with the gray. The gray was showing a red tint. It wasn’t the opacity setting or any sort of blending effect. It just turns out that when you sandwich a strip of gray between red and green the gray will appear to have a red tint.
Josef Albers would be proud.
They look like the same color gray to me. OH wait, the more i stare at it, the more it turns red. Ok. it’s kinda red now.
really? the look the same to you at first? huh. I totally see the right-hand gray with a red tint when i first look at it. All humans see color in different ways.
