With the current renovations being made to Wrigley Field and the surrounding area, the Chicago Cubs are offering fans the opportunity to get their very own 4″ x 8″ personalized brick to be placed somewhere around Wrigley.
cost: $160 (yikes!) I have a hard time forking over $160 on my own. Maybe if it were $60. Or maybe if my family pitches in or somethin’.
The only photo they had available was this weird rendering seen in the banner above. I’d be pretty upset to see a stupid picnic bench placed on top of my $160 brick.
The nice thing is that they are allowing for three lines of copy with 15 characters per line. You could say quite a bit in your brick. What to say on a brick? Hmmmmm…..
here’s what my brick would say:
RUB THIS BRICK
AND THE CUBS
WILL WIN TODAY
or maybe my brick would say:
RUB THIS AND
CUBS WILL WIN

people here at work are giving me a hard time for not buying a brick. and i have made them guess how much this brick thing costs and they have been guessing crazy numbers like $300 and $500.

I just happened to stumble upon your website while doing an image search on Ryne Sandberg.
If there’s one regret I have from college, it’s that my friends and I never went in together to buy a brick for the new library project. So, please, even though $160 is a lot for a brick (it better chop vegetables for $160), don’t make the same mistake I did. Get some friends to pitch in and buy the brick. It’ll be fun!
Hi there! I found your blog when I googled “Wrigley Field Bricks”. My husband was born in Chicago but moved to California as a baby – HUGE Cubs Fan tho! Well, I just have to know the ending of this story! Did you get your Lucky Brick? Does a map come with your brick so you can find it? Is it under a picnic table? Hey – we went to the Cubs game in L.A. on Sunday (lost) – we should have gone on Saturday (won) when Zambrano pitched that awesome game! Oh well – we still had fun –… Read more »
