I was very happy to find out that Jose Macias is leaving the Cubs to play baseball in Japan. Macias was a classic example of how Dusty Baker likes to start useless veteran players.
Macias will be bating cleanup for the Nippon-Ham Fighters. At first I thought the team was from Nippon and the team name was the “Ham Fighters”. That would have been cool, but the team is from Nippon-Ham and the team name is the “Fighters”. That’s kinda lame. But I don’t care. I’m calling them the Ham Fighters regardless.
Go Fighting Hams!
Forgive me if you don’t think so, Moose, but that looks like a logo you might create!
yea, that’s a nice logo. though i think the seams on the baseball are a bit too close together.
The ball is also looking a bit oblong … not that you would create such … but it has the feel of some of your logos featured on your site
They need a nice ham in that logo.
Jose Macias made his decision to go to Japan, because there are more short people there and he will feel at home, because he is short. Ouch!
Macias can join the list of other former Cub players who went on to play in Japan…
Vance Law is the first one that comes to my mind.
Pulling a Hammie could take on a new meaning in sports vernacular…
