It’s commonplace to see mannequins in retail stores displaying the clothing for sale. Why don’t restaurants have a mannequin couple sitting at a table “eating” the food for sale?

Mannequins are not in restaurants, because mannequins cannot eat. But mannequins are in stores, because mannequins can wear clothes.
Actually, there is a lifesize replica of Colonel Sanders at my local KFC. He is sitting on a bench with his hands on a cane. For some reason he has no feet. I’m guessing that too many people were tripping over his feet and the manager of the store had the Colonel’s feet removed. Since then, someone has put a pair of old dorky tech guy black shoes where the Colonel’s feet should be. It’s funny partly because the statue is all white and then you see a pair of black shoes there.
but spud, you can have the mannequin holding a plate of food. You don’t need to show the mannequin actually consuming the food. Though that would be pretty cool. I want to see a restaurant where they show a happy mannequin family sitting down in a booth with plates full of food ready to be consumed.
Mannequins wearing clothes allow shoppers to visualize clothes more effectively than their folded 2d counterparts on the shelves/racks. Food doesn’t need that… or does it?
Maybe if someone could convince subway that people need a demonstration of how to WEAR their food? I’d love to see that.
Some McDonald’s restaurants have Ronald statues. I find them to be creepy and in poor taste. Booo Ronald!
Don’t get me started on Ronald McDonald. His commercials in the 1980s demonstrated he’s a pompous arrogant jerk.
