Michigan Avenue bridge as a cliff

What if Chicago’s famous Michigan Avenue bridge just stopped halfway and wasn’t a bridge anymore, but rather a cliff? The shadow that went across the Mich Ave bridge from Spudart’s flickr photo made me contemplate this. Above is my photoshopped rendering. The full image is at my Flickr.
