REMEMBERING CHRIST'S CONSTRAINT
1997
photographs of wood carving on computer monitor, wood, metal rods, screws, washers, tacks

At the time I was made this piece, I was taking a class on history of architecture. I never enjoyed a note-taking class more than this class. This piece was indirectly inspired by a combination of Romesque architecture (blocky build) and Gothic architecture (spires).

I later made a follow-up to this piece that concetrated more on following Romanesque architecture.

The image is a series of photographs taken of a computer monitor. The image on the monitor was a wood carving. This wood carving and it's computer inputation (scan) was used on "Cleave the Darkness".
