wood construction, nails, silver gelatin prints, and found angel button

The image is a series of photographs taken of a computer monitor. The image on the monitor was an angel pin pixelized (later attached to sculpture in lower right corner). A duplicate of this angel pin was also appears in "Cleave the Darkness".

By incorporating a digital or virtual representation of an angel with the natural material of wood, I am bring these two unlikely materials together, just as the pairing of angels and our world (humans) may seem unnatural. Which medium, digital or wood, is the protector (or angel) of the other (human)? Is one medium trying to communicate with the other on its own level, or even more basic: is each media existing on an equal level with the other?
It's this interaction between the "traditional" medium and "nontraditional" medium that interests me greatly, especially bringing religious symbolism into the mix.
