The popular mexican restaurant chain, Chipotle, plays some very nice music. I was curious if I could purchase a cd of their music. It’s not that easy. But it’s possible.
I cruised over to Chipotle’s website and the “FEEL” section gives a list of over 75 songs! They list artist, album name, song name, and genre. You can listen to the songs on their site. (Sorry OS9 users, it doesn’t load.) They also give “more info” where you can buy the songs. Pretty slick.
I clicked on the “more info” button for a few of the songs and they all linked to the Public Radio MusicSource website. At first I thought it was an NRP thing (National Public Radio). But it’s not. It’s just a site that sells music cds.
This Chipotle music experience reminds me of when Volkswagen had their own internet radio station back around 1999. That was pretty sweet. It was in the days when they were playing the Da-Da-Da Volkswagen Jetta commercial. Remember that? With the car driving down the street where everything in the frame was in perfect sync with the song. That was great. For whatever reason Volkswagen’s radio station didn’t last long. I was bummed.
