Y’know a logo that has oddly aged well? Little Caesars Pizza. At least this version that popped up in an ad on pandora.com. Though I looked up Little Ceasars logos on google and none are nearly as nice as this black type on orange version. The font is notoriously early 80’s blobby serif, but here […]

Lay your eyes on one of the coolest logos you’ll ever see. It’s the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers. Organized Nov. 28, 1891. Affiliated with: American Federation of Labor & Congress of Industrial Organizations & Canadian Labour Congress. That’s a mouthful and all of that is powerfully displayed in this crest. A serious, no-nonsense heavy […]

Check out this great logo for Die Kunstakademie Dsseldorf. Translated from German it says, The Art Academy, Dusseldorf, Germany. There’s not many applications where such a logo can be pulled off, but an art school surely is one of them.

That graphic actually represents the three branches of the Chicago River! It’s also in the Chicago Theater marquee. The Chicago Public LIbrary logo […]
It turns out that the Eisenhower Expressway (east-west expressway connecting downtown Chicago with Chicago neighborhoods and western suburbs) has its own logo and website. Funny how the words “Eisenhower” and “Expressway” are crammed together in the logo. It resembles the typical traffic jams that occur on the Ike.
While I was job hunting, I came across landor.com, the website for one of the world’s juggernaut branding agencies. They designed the Super Bowl XLIII logo. It’s rather appropriate that I came across this page a day before the Super Bowl. They offer up some insight into the logo. Here’s a snippit: The Super Bowl […]
If only the Ravens defeated the Steelers for the AFC Championship. I played around with the Ravens’ and Cardinals’ logos before the NFC and AFC Championship games hoping the Super Bowl would be the Baltimore Ravens and the Arizona Cardinals.
