Rosemont: home of worst architecture ever

You ever been to Rosemont, Illinois? If you live in the Chicagoland area there’s a good chance you have. It’s home to the Allstate Arena, the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center, and the freakin’ worst architecture in the world hands down.

I’ve been freelancing in Rosemont for the last few weeks. I have no problem with the building I work in. It’s an okay-looking building. As for the rest of Rosemont, it’s a disaster zone one building after the other. Far too many buildings are examples of how postmodern architecture can go terribly wrong.

Postmodern architecture is a specific style and period unlike postmodern art. Don’t confuse the two. Postmodern architecture is really hard to pull off. It reminds me of the 1980s decadence. People who tripped into a fortune either through ill-gain or pure stupidity and think they have the best aesthetic tastes when really it’s glorified white trash.
