potato pocket warmer

Winter chills got you down? Want something to bring a pep in your step and swing in your stride? Let me introduce the potato pocket warmer.

It’s simple. Grab a potato. Throw it in the oven for 60 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove the potato from the oven and place the potato in your coat pocket. Go outside and let the natural warmth of your baked potato keep you warm throughout your journey. Upon completing your journey, eat your potato as a snack. I prefer to eat my potato like an apple. Just grab it and start eating away.

The potato pocket warmer came about as a result of a conversation between my wife and I. We were eating dinner and I was getting full, so I did not eat my baked potato. I mentioned that I needed to go to Office Max to buy ink for my printer. She said that I better go fast, because I need to make it back in time for our daughter’s pj time. I mentioned that I should bring my potato with me as a snack. She said, “Go ahead. I dare you.” Ooooh. fighting words. So I did. I went to Borders first to see if they had any interesting bargain books. I consumed my potato there. It was a delightful treat. The end.

pj time must really be something!

I wish I had known about his. I would have double-dog-dared you to put a loaded potato in your pocket.
