I was at U.S. Cellular Field on Wednesday for a company outing. I never liked the White Sox and I never will. I grew up on the South Side of Chicago as a Cubs fan. There were about 5 Cubs fans in the entire school including my sister, my brother and I. Fellow classmates and even the teachers gave us a hard time about it.
Over the next few days, I’m going to list newly discovered reasons why I don’t like White Sox.
1. TERRIBLE SCORECARDS.
White Sox scorecards are printed on semi-gloss paper. STUPID! Most people use pencils for their score cards. You really can’t erase pencil markings on semi-gloss stock. And those who are left-handed and use pens (like me) end up smudging their writing. They should have used uncoated stock like the Cubs’ scorecards. No smudging for pen users and easy to erase for pencil users.
The rosters aren’t even printed on the same page as the scorecards. I have to flip over to see the rosters for each team. Terrible design. But what else can you expect from the Chicago White Sox?
i wonder if the gloss coating was cheaper than uncoated stock. i doubt it, though.
yea, i doubt it also. Obviously the person who approved the use of semi-gloss stock didn’t know what they were doing.
You should write a letter to the Sox about this. Surely this is just an oversight.
