I bought twenty 8×10 Blick Studio Traditional Profile Canvases.
They were $1.69 each. That’s unheard of.

I used to buy my pre-stretched canvas at Hobby Lobby for $2.50 a pop. Keep in mind that I never buy pre-stretched canvas with staples on the side. I think it’s extremely tacky. The Hobb Lobb stopped selling side-stapled-free 8×10 for $2.50. It’s something like $8 now. It was a sad day when that happened.

Amazon.com sells 8″ X 10″ Winsor & Newton Stretched Canvas 6 Pack for $16.52.That’s $2.75 a canvas. See the amazon ad below to visit the link. I received this six pack as a christmas gift. The gesso they used allows for a smooth paint surface, yet the texture of the canvas adds a nice feel to it. I enjoy the Winsor canvas very much.

I haven’t painted on the Blick Studio Canvas yet. I just couldn’t pass up paying only $1.69 for 8×10. That’s insane!
