Lou Pinella statue

I just can’t get over how the Cubs just keep winning and winning and winning. They have yet to get into a serious funk and it’s almost the All-Star break. This is a really special team. I want a Lou Pinella statue in my backyard and I want it to be the pose above of him throwing second base. I’m not quite sure how I’m going to get the base to levitate in the air. Yea, he’s not in a Cubs uni, but rather his trademark 41 Reds jersey. The photo has some personal history for me. During high school, I had the photo hanging proudly in my locker. No joke. I had the whole door filled with different junk, but I remember this photo had a pretty prominent spot in the top right corner.

I bet you never dared to throw a base in gym class. Mr. Kwas wouldn’t never have it. One time I DOVE HEAD-FIRST into home plate on the GRAVEL. And I know I was safe. I felt my hand hit home plate way before the tag. He called me out, and I argued with him. I put all hustle into gym class. And you know what grade he gave me? He gave me a B. A freakin B. Good ol’ Lou Pinella. I’d like to see a Starting Lineup figure of him throwing the base.
