Too bad I didn’t find this earlier. It’s a little late to be a Christmas gift idea. It’s Cube Figures! The corporate world captured in a weird Lego kind of way. I love how melancholy they look. Brillant.
And the price isn’t too bad. $13 a set. You get one figure and his lonely cube. Buy multiple sets to build your own sad corporate environment. They should offer discounts for mass quantities.
Even on coffee they look melancholy!
Merry Christmas, Erik!
once you buy one, what do you do with it? set it up in your own cubicle at work? or set it up at home, thereby bringing your work home with you? has “work” invaded our personal lives so much that we want to play with toys that remind us of work?
they look like robots. i guess they ARE kind of – motorless robots.
i can’t imagine that working in a cubicle would be any child’s fantasy. kids want to play on the monkey bars for a living. and who can blame them? monkey bars are fun!
I don’t think these Cube Figures are for kids. But hey, at least it’s hard to break your neck in a cubicle, unlike on monkey bars ๐
Weird! I commented exactly 12 hours after Laura!
Work – Home: Wherever I want one next year for Christmas (hint, hint!)
