frank lloyd wright bust

Would you have a bust of yourself in your own home? There’s one of Frank Lloyd Wright in the living room of his Taliesin West winter home in Scottsdale, Arizona.

That seems a bit odd to me. I suppose it depends on the perspective of the current owner. Apparently they are decorating the house for their tastes and satisfaction and deciding not to honor the historical value of the home. That’s fine with me. The current owner OWNS the home so they have control over that.

However, it’s neat to go into historical homes and see things as the they were when the famous person lived there. I don’t think you’d see any busts of Abraham Lincoln in his Springfield home now would you?

If someone gave me one, I’d totally display a bust of myself in my own home!

Why is there all that red and blue in the photo?

I don’t like the red and blue. They need to get rid of that. It doesn’t do any justice to this gorgeous bust.

It’s almost as amazing as this incredible bust. http://www.flickr.com/photos/thatrabbitgirl/3653050864/

Frank Lloyd Wright busts are just an example of some of the world’s finest busts.

For those who don’t know, I am being sarcastic in my previous comments. ALL FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT BUSTS ARE CREEP-A-ZOIDY. (of course I’m judging all FLW busts based on the two i’ve seen in my life).

I think all busts (not just FLW) have a certain creepiness factor to them. I mean, it’s strange to just have some person’s head sitting around on a pedestal.

Every home needs a decapitated head–even if it’s on lo-an from the local public library.

No I haven’t shared this thought with Randy. Don’t get me wrong though, I’m not totally crepped out by busts. I understand the artistic appeal and all that. It just that when you stop to think about it, having a sculpture of somebody’s head seems strange.
