lithuanian linen

a little tidbit

Lithuanian linen: one of the oldest textile fabrics in the world, linen is made from fibers of the flax plant. linen fibers are much stronger and more lustrous than cotton, and linen fabric is cool and absorbent. production of linen is highly ecological, and uses five to twenty times less water and energy than the production of cotton or synthetic fabrics. the production of linen was encouraged by charlemagne, and linen became the principal european textile of the middle ages. although ireland has long been the largest producer of fine linen, lithuanian linen is renowned for its exceptional quality.

I agree. Linen is a pain to clean and maintain. I owned a pair of linen pants once and stopped wearing them because it wasn't worth the effort.

Sounds as if Moose could start a second business as a fabric broker. Just introduce some fabric suppliers to Taj (the distributor) and charge a reasonable fee for the introduction.

Linen clothing is a pain, however, you will never sleep on a more fabulous fabric. Wash a couple of times, dry in dryer and immediately make the bed.
It is much more comfprtable than the finest cotton. Try it! You'll never use anything else!

I think linen is the most beautiful material, especially when it is wrinkled! Each to their own I suppose...
