After Friday's post, I was curious about the official stores of McCain and Obama, specifically the buttons. Political buttons are great fun. McCain's buttons start at $5. Greedy bastard. Obama's buttons start at $2. I was all set to buy the beautiful Obama pin shown above ($2) only to find out the only shipping option offered is UPS which amounts to $7.80. That's not very efficient. $7.80 to ship one lousy button? I know for a fact that to ship one button via USPS does not cost more than $1. I'm very disappointed in all this.
Oh did I only give the link to Obama's button shop and not McCain's? Whoops.
I've had the same kind of dilemma when I'm shopping online: what if the shipping and "handling" costs are more than what I'm actually buying? Then I ask myself if I would pay $10, for example, for the Barack button. If I think I would, I ignore the shipping and other costs and go ahead with the purchase.
But I’d really like the “Obama Logo Button (white) - 1"” in bulk.

Huh. That seems odd to me, because those are the types of buttons that our youth likes to use. I would think the the popular buttons would be the ones available in bulk.
Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to be Mr. Negative. I think the products you are offering on your site are great products. They have fabulous design (this coming from a graphic designer). But since your products are so great, I want to buy a ton and share them with everyone I know. I have never bought any political materials before, and the quality of your products really speaks to the great job you are doing.
However, since I can’t buy the 1-inch buttons in bulk, I’m going to buy them off ebay. Granted, I would much much rather buy them directly from the source for the true authentic product, plus, I want my money to go directly to the Obama campaign, and not some ebay seller.
