photos and tales about life in Antartica

Here's some dramatic photographs of life in Antartica by "Rebecca". There's lots of landscape photos, some photos of the food they eat in the Big A, and there's one shot of the town or settlement she's in. It's funny to think of cities being in Antartica.

Rebecca describes herself as "a wanderer. Pirate. Trickster spirit. Erstwhile philosophy student in search of adventure. Janitor and general assistant at McMurdo Station, Antarctica." In her bio she tells friends and family that they shouldn't send her paper mail because there's no flights to Antartica between Feb. 25 and the end of August. wild.

Very cool blog from Rebecca. Thanks for sharing Moose.

I must say that it would be interesting to live there for a while. Even just to say that you had done it. Not too many other people could say that.

I want to live where I don't have to wear shoes ... or at the very least, socks. I don't think Antartica would cut it. Brrrrrrrrrrr!
