Can you believe it's been over 2 1/2 years since the last Faceoff Friday match? Today Faceoff Friday makes its triumphant return with the battle between two giant architects.
Who would win? Mies van der Rohe or Philip Johnson
Both were arguably among the most powerful men on planet Earth during their tenure. I think Mies would win. He was a lot bigger than Johnson and would crush his fragile bones to a pulp. Can anyone give a good case for Philip Johnson winning?
My favorite is when I gave Patrick from (Spongebob Squarepants) a knife to battle in his faceoff. Classic.
The most popular Friday Faceoff is the Monopoly Piece Faceoff with over 44,000 hits.
What? Mies van der Rohe will just stand around smoking a cigarette. No, in fact, he will just sit smoking. Mies doesn't move, he just sits. Philip Johnson on the other hand is a wily man. He'll outmaneuver the slow Mies. Just take a look at the photo collage I made of Philip Johnson to prove my point: http://www.spudart.org/blogs/randomthoughts_comments/5254_0_3_0_C/
The man is about to manically rip that building off its very foundations. He can also dance with his fingers pointed. He wears buildings on his head. NOBODY CAN DEFEAT SOMEONE WHO WEARS BUILDINGS ON HIS HEAD. And look at that center photo! He's tough. He's really really tough. Look at that expression on his face! He also has the might and lung capacity to blow out 95 candles. Wait. Did this man live to be 95? Yes he did. Why? BECAUSE HE IS UNDEFEATABLE!
He's also a monkey with glasses.
And we do have a photo of Mies and Philip together. Hmmm, Mies looks very worried. Very worried indeed.
