dinosaur attack

It's a good thing that we don't have to worry about dinosaur attacks while we work in our office buildings, schools, stores and other places of employment.

this blog post came about from a discussion at work where Keane mentioned that what we fear the most is what we don't understand. I challenged this statement and said that a giant bear would bring me a great deal of fear.

I'll settle that argument right now. You have a choice of 2 rooms to go into. Room 1 has 2 very hungry lions. Room 2 has a 120 step math problem and you can't use a calculator in a new math process developed in China. What room do you pick? You understand the lions want to devour you but you don't understand the math problem. I fear more of what I understand in this case then what I don't understand. You can always doodle on the paper in working the math problem.

But what is driving your fear of the lions? Fear of death? What drives fear of death? Not understanding death. But then again there's really the fear of pain. We know what pain is like. I dont' want to experience the pain of being eaten alive. I think i would fear that more than the death.
