JOLLY HOTEL ST ERMINS LONDON PHOTO St. Ermins Hotel was built in 1887. It is an architectural landmark. Located in central London; Westminster Abbey, House of Parliament, and Buckingham Palace are short walks away (about 5-10 minutes). The hotel is situated on Caxton Street which is very, very quiet The St. James tube station is just around the corner. We became Tube experts by the end of our trip. We love the Underground! New Scotland Yard is right next store. There were always Police standing on the sidewalks throughout the neighborhood. They were carrying very, very large weapons. They looked like semi-automatic weapons. The flags are flown at half staff in the photo.
